How to Install

1

Clean

Ensure the area is smooth, clean and dry.
Alcohol wipes can be used to clean the area prior to install.

2

Measure

Measure the area DécorSplash is going to cover including any PowerPoints (if applicable). Mark the measurements on the reverse side of the panel.

Note: If any electrical works are to be performed, this should be carried out by a certified electrician. If using behind a gas hob, ensure a 50mm distance is away from the DécorSplash panels, for electrical or induction, a minimum of 30mm.

Remember to also allow for 3mm for expansion and contraction of the sheets and allow 3mm gap on each side if using the butt joint method.

3

Cut

Working on the reserve side of the panel, cut your panels using a circular saw (with aluminium cutting blades).
For PowerPoints, use a drill for the corners, then use a jigsaw to cut out the edges.

4

Fix

Test the positioning by applying the panel against the area without using any bonding materials. Once satisfied, remove protective masking on the reserve side.

Apply 3M double-sided VHB tape on the area in vertical strips, 400mm apart, then then apply Tec7 or X-Tack (or other) silicone adhesive with a caulking gun in a zig-zag pattern between the vertical strips of 3M double-sided tape.

5

Install

Apply the DécorSplash panel onto the area.

Leave for a few minutes before carefully removing the protective masking on the front side.

To ensure a clean finish, apply masking tape around the 3mm gaps where silicon is required to be filled, then apply Tec 7 (or other) sealant into the 3mm gaps between DécorSplash panels and other edges to avoid any water infiltration.

Failure to do so may cause the panel to delaminate and void the warranty.
